We are honored to have a special guest speaker for our October meeting - Kimberly Clark Sharp. Kim is a near-death experiencer, author, and former Kansas City area resident. In May of 1970, while registering her new car at the Leawood Motor Vehicle Office, Kim was stricken with a medical crisis that resulted in a profound NDE. This experience was the basis for her 1995 book, After the Light: What I Discovered on the Other Side of Life That Can Change Your World. Kim's book will be available for purchase at the meeting. It can also be obtained at most bookstores and Amazon.com.
In 1982 Kim founded Seattle IANDS, the world's largest and longest running support group for near-death experiencers. She holds a master's degree in social work from the University of Washington and is a pioneer in the field of critical care social work.
I have had the pleasure of attending the last two IANDS Leadership Workshops with Kim. She is a funny, outgoing and delightful person. Please join us for our October meeting for what is sure to be a memorable and enlightening talk.
Kansas City IANDS is a non-profit organization. All of our meetings are free, and are open to the public. We do, however, take-up a voluntary love offering for Unity Temple on the Plaza. We are most appreciative to them for providing us with a free space to hold our meetings.
